FAQs

Hopefully most of your questions about the kind of things we treat and how we treat them are answered elsewhere on this website.

But we always get asked…

What is the difference between an Osteopath and a Chiropractor? They are essentially similar - we both treat backs, joints and muscles using mostly hands on treatment. Some of the techniques and philosophies vary, but it is hard to be precise as all osteopaths and chiropractors tend to develop their own individual styles. They are basically two different "brands" - a bit like Nike and Adidas.

What is the difference between an Osteopath and a Physiotherapist? Again, there are many more similarities than differences. The physiotherapy that is available on the NHS is usually exercise based and involves much less "hands on" treatment than we provide.
