Meet The Team
left to right - Caroline, Nick, Rachael, Bethany, Hannah, Rhys
Nick and Rachael Hilliard met and trained at the British School of Osteopathy in London (now called the University College of Osteopathy). Nick is from Cornwall originally, and we started our osteopathic clinic in Camborne in 1990 – working from a room in our home at first, then as the practice grew (and our three children came along!) from premises above a dental surgery, and finally in 2001 moving to our own building with ground floor rooms and dedicated parking spaces – The Camborne Back Clinic – enabling us to offer the best possible professional care for your back pain and other injuries.
Caroline Law joined the clinic in August 2018 and has proved to be extremely popular with patients and is now a much valued member of the team. Caroline treats all ages and a range of injuries and particularly enjoys working with expectant and new mums.
Hannah Gledhill started doing some locum work for us during the summer of 2021, and we are very happy that she decided to stay on and become a permanent osteopath here, as she is a caring and talented practitioner. Hannah uses a range of techniques including soft tissue and articulation, manipulation, and deep tissue massage.
Bethany Elliott-Hutton joined our team in early 2023, as an already experienced osteopath having previously worked in a busy London practice. Bethany is highly skilled in a wide range of osteopathic techniques, and the feedback from the patients she sees is fantastic. She is also a qualified Pilates teacher and runs the clinic’s three Tuesday afternoon Pilates classes.
Rhys James is our newest team member, joining the clinic in the summer of 2024. In his first week with us he had this review from a patient – ‘I hurt my lower back in work, I was in horrendous pain. I had an appointment with Rhys at the back clinic….Rhys was amazing and very professional I can’t believe how I went, from not being able to even walk properly to what I was like just after 3 sessions….the work he does is amazing’ and he has continued to get similar comments ever since! Rhys is happy to treat patients using a range of techniques – he is skilled in strong manipulation for those that require it or can use a very gentle approach, depending on what is required.
All the Osteopaths at The Camborne Back Clinic are also trained in acupuncture/dry needling, and of course are all registered with the General Osteopathic Council, ensuring maximum safety of treatment and the highest professional and ethical standards. We also regularly attend courses all over the country to keep up to date with the latest developments.
